Carafa e Grammichele 1693-1711 - Le Origini / Il dualismo tra esagoni e rettangoli determinò l’articolazione della nuova città in sestieri e borghi: i primi scaturivano dall’intersezione dei sei assi viari principali, i secondi erano rettangolari aurei giacenti sul lato massimo dell’esagono. Entrambi vennero chiamati con i nomi dei Santi, come testimoniano sia gli atti di soggiogazione 1694-95 sia un documento 1754. |
